Dr. Mark Verseput - BVSc (Hons)
Dr Mark Verseput joined the Craighall Animal Hospital (the old name of the current practice) in 1987 after two years of military service post-graduation and never left.
His vision, and business and veterinary acumen have been largely responsible for what the practice is today.
During his student years, Mark bred reptiles as a hobby. This sparked a lifelong special interest in reptiles and exotic pet medicine and surgery. Mark was one of the first veterinarians in Johannesburg to specialise in treating reptiles and other exotic pets.
Mark also holds an honours degree in small animal medicine and is board member at the South African Veterinary Council. Mark is an intuitive diagnostician and an excellent surgeon. The ‘plastic surgeon’ perfectionism in his surgery is legendary.
